Jupiter High student seriously injured by car on way to school



The teen was riding his bike when he was hit at about 7 a.m. just west of the school, Jupiter police said.

The wreck happened near the intersection of South Pennock Lane and Toney Penna Drive, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The teen was taken to a trauma center for treatment, Fire Rescue said. Jupiter police said the injuries aren’t life-threatening.

The Palm Beach County School District did not identify the student and declined to comment, saying the wreck did not happen on school grounds.
