People posing as Lake Worth Utilities employees have been trying to talk customers into paying them for electric bills and service work, but so far customers have not fallen for the scams, a utility manager said Thursday.
Walt Gill, manager of system operations for the city-owned electric utility, urged anyone with questions about requests for payments or service work to check with the utility’s customer service or system operations before authorizing work or exchanging money.
