A judge last week cleared the way for powerful Delray Beach developer Anthony Pugliese to take a nine-day trip to Italy this year, even as he faces grand theft and money laundering charges for allegedly stealing more than $1 million from Subway mogul Fred DeLuca.
Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Charles Burton approved the request over objections from prosecutors who thought it too risky to allow Pugliese to spend nine days on a family trip in Europe in November.
