Work on an urban farm — where members pay dues to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables — is scheduled to begin on Center Street next month.
Owners of Terra Verde Farm Club plan to use the one-half acre of vacant property to grow fruit, vegetables and herbs. The produce will be for sale to members within 24 hours after picking. Nutrition and cooking classes will be offered. Opening is scheduled for October.
