Readers: This week marks the centennial of Lake Worth. On June 27, a special section will tell its story.But “Post Time” would be remiss in not also noting the event. So we’ll go all the way back to how the city got its name. Here’s more from a couple of columns from 2000, our first year:
The 22-mile-long lake that most people know as the stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway between the Palm Beach and Boynton inlets actually has the same name: “Lake Worth.”
