Port St. Lucie police: 75-year-old man found 100 miles from home

Robert Knippenberg’s wife spoke to him at about 9:20 Thursday evening on the phone, she told police, and thought he was in the Lake Wales area, east of Tampa and south of Orlando, at that time.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office found Knippenberg in good health early Friday, Port St. Lucie police said. Officers said he suffers from dementia.
