Palm Beach County commissioners on Thursday will try for a fourth time to act on a controversial proposal to transform a closed golf course next to the Century Village retirement community in suburban West Palm Beach into a neighborhood of shops and homes.
The commission has held three public hearings on the project over the past 13 months. Commissioners delayed a decision during the first two meetings. A third hearing held Jan. 24 resulted in a 3-3 vote.
