When students from the “Green Team” at St. Mark Catholic School, 730 N.E. Sixth Ave., came to Tuesday’s city commission meeting, they wanted to attract attention.
They got it by dressing eighth-grader India Roehrich-Hill in no fewer than 900 plastic bags, symbolizing the amount of plastic used by one person in a year. Garbage bags. Grocery bags. Newspaper bags. You couldn’t miss the Master Plastic Baggie Monster as she came to the podium with her classmates.
