Dozens of parents gathered to talk and sip coffee inside the new Mandel Jewish Community Center on Hood Road Monday after dropping off their children for the first day of preschool on the first official day of operation for the $20 million community center that brings together many north-county JCC programs in one location.
“This building is a four-year dream come true,” said Michelle Wasch Lobovits, chief executive officer of the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches. “The biggest joy is to see the parents and their children in the building, enjoying themselves and making new friends.”
