A council member wants people using parking meters in the town’s 8-acre municipal beach at the east end of Ocean Avenue to “be up in the 21st century.”
The town’s in a major overhaul of the beach. It includes replacing 168 coin meters with two kiosks at which people enter their space number and pay. Residents with decals aren’t affected.
