Thousands of spectators lined Lake and Lucerne avenues throughout the day Sunday as the festival of chalk-drawn artwork on the roadways wrapped up. MaryAnne Webber, coordinator for the festival since 1995 through her nonprofit, Street Painting Festival Inc., said that 657 artists in teams of two to four drew 254 chalk drawings on the pavement this year.
