The shuffleboard building west of city hall is a step closer to being renovated as an art center.
Commissioners tonight agreed to lease the building on Lucerne Avenue for 10 years to the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency — despite concerns by some commissioners who said the decision was rushed to meet the CRA’s Saturday deadline to apply for a state grant.
