What the town should do next following a county court’s tossing out of the $1.6 million fine against Roger and Myrna Byrd for removing mangroves will be the subject of a 6 p.m. Tuesday closed meeting between the town council and town attorney.
The council is not scheduled to vote. No public comment is scheduled because the consultation is attorney/client privilege. Future legal action must be approved by the council at an upcoming public meeting, according to Town Attorney Thomas Baird.
