The city council is considering whether to allow stores to sell alcoholic beverages beginning at 7 a.m. on Sundays instead of waiting until noon as required by the city code.
Councilman John Tharp said making Greenacres stores wait until noon to sell alcohol doesn’t make sense because stores in unincorporated parts of Palm Beach County — and in neighboring cities such as Palm Springs, Atlantis and Boynton Beach — allow stores to sell alcoholic beverages beginning at 7 a.m. every day of the week.
