An upgrade to the city’s computer software approved by the city council Monday is expected to make it possible for people doing business with the city to make payments and apply for some permits online and for vendors to check the status of purchase orders via computer.
The $628,330 contract with Troy, Mich.-based New World Systems Corp. includes a 10-year software licensing fee and $299,650 for installation, training and data conversion.
