The city could more than double the size of the community center off Swain Boulevard by adding a two-story building just west of the existing center, but the plan presented to the city council Monday could put a squeeze on parking.
Assistant City Manager Tom Lanahan said the proposed $3.2 million community center addition could include classrooms, a banquet room with a catering kitchen and storage on the ground floor, as well as offices for the city’s Leisure Services staff on the second floor.
