A government “glitch” could doom about $200,000 for playground expansion in Palm Beach Country Estates.
Three covered pavilions plus a racquetball and basketball court are planned for a public playground in the northwest Palm Beach County 1,500-home development. The spending won’t happen if Gov. Rick Scott follows through with his threat to veto a bill that would grant a local taxing authority power to spend the money, say supporters of the plan.
