Although the village council by a 3-2 vote last week agreed to enter into a reimbursement agreement with Saratoga at Royal Palm Property Owners Association to perform irrigation work for the neighborhood and get paid for it later, the move continued to raise several concerns among council members.
“I don’t really think this is a good idea for the government to get into doing projects for private entities particularly when we have something (in the agreement) that says there’s an amount to be determined,” said Councilman Richard Valuntas. “I think it’s a bad idea, I think it’s bad business and I don’t think we should do it.”
