Delray Beach commissioners began the process of untangling the city from its trash-handling contract this week, but not without harsh words.
The contract with Waste Management was approved by the commission last August. Since then, Cary Glickstein replaced Mayor Tom Carney in the March election. Newly elected commissioner Shelly Petrolia made the Waste Management contract her key campaign example of the need for government transparency.
