With hurricane season approaching, the city of West Palm Beach has temporarily lifted its limit on the amount of yard waste residents can put out for collection in an attempt to encourage homeowners to trim their trees and plants before the storms come.
Long tree limbs and otherwise overgrown trees are a hazard during tropical storms and hurricanes and the city is urging residents to begin trimming. The normal limit for yard waste is one pile that is four feet high, four feet wide and 17 feet long.
