The Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce is proposing an “alternate form of payment” for the use of Greenacres Community Park during SalsaFest, an annual event that features music, salsa dancing competitions, salsa-making contests and carnival rides.
City Manager Wadie Atallah said the chamber has paid the city $5,229 to cover the city’s expenses for the event held Nov. 16-18, such as city staff time used to prepare the park for the festival.
