A fifth attempt at mediation has failed in the lawsuit filed by Lisa Bright, former executive director of the city’s community redevelopment agency, her lawyer has confirmed.
Trial is set for this fall in the suit. Filed in 2011, it alleges then-Commissioner José Rodriguez orchestrated Bright’s departure partly in retaliation for her rejecting his sexual advances and for contacting police after, she said, he manhandled her and shouted at her during a 2008 workshop.
