Plans to build a $50 million distribution center and regional headquarters by Aldi, a discount supermarket chain, continue to move smoothly, with June 3 set as a tentative groundbreaking date.
More than 100 subcontractors bid for the job, said Matt Miller, a project manager with A.M. King Construction, the Charlotte, N.C.-based general contractor on the project. he company will begin narrowing that list down to about 20 when it gets the green light from Aldi, he said.
