Accountant takes over Metro Mobility’s reins, seeks to right ship

Cullan Meathe, the head of the company that provides van service to Palm Beach County’s disabled and elderly, has been ousted by his board of directors and replaced by a forensic accountant who specializes in bankruptcy and fraud cases.

“Financial statements weren’t getting done,” said Maggie Smith, the accountant who replaced chief executive officer Meathe in September. “Mr. Meathe is an entrepreneur and it became very apparent that he doesn’t necessarily have the financial skill set.”
