There were sweater-clad dogs, bundled-up babies, a drum line, a rock band and “Star Wars” stormtroopers at the Meyer Amphitheatre as about 2,000 people set off to march for a juvenile diabetes cure on a frosty Saturday morning.
Participants on 2-mile walk bounced around on the grass to warm up in the 60-degree temperatures, part of a weekend cold front. Many organized teams of friends and family, wearing T-shirts honoring Maeve, Dylan, Alexa and other youngsters growing up with juvenile diabetes.
