The city’s prized “tent site” is back on the market eight months after the bankruptcy filing of the company officials had hoped would spark economic life there, and once again city commissioners want a closed bidding process.
At last week’s Community Redevelopment Agency meeting, the commission asked agency director Kim Briesemeister to cancel a planned open bidding process to find a suitor for the 2.4-acre, city-owned land at Okeechobee Boulevard and Dixie Highway.
