Two north-end neighborhoods plagued with noises from nearby businesses wound up with different fates Monday.
City commissioners unanimously endorsed a change that would dampen noise from loud businesses in industrial areas, but declined to limit work-hours at the city’s most profitable boatyard, where neighbors say they endure generators, power tools and loud conversations at all hours of the day.
