Running for office in Palm Beach County’s third-largest city was an expensive proposition this year — not because candidates raised and spent outsized amounts, but because turnout was so low.
According to documents filed with the city clerk, the 14 candidates in four races raised a total of $125,016 and spent $70,776— all for a turnout of less than 10 percent.
