The city’s electric utility director tonight told the commission that his department would soon be issuing requests for companies to set a value on the city’s electrical utility.
Commissioners have been pondering whether to sell or upgrade the city’s electric system, which charges higher fees than the much larger FPL but is a consistent source of income for the cash-strapped city.
