The Palm Beach County Health Care District has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against two companies and an engineer involved in the construction of its 4-year-old public hospital in Belle Glade, saying their advice has led the hospital’s parking lot and surrounding roads to sink and crack.
The companies named in the suit, filed last week, are Miller Legg & Associates and Dunkelberger Engineering & Testing, as well Thomas J. Tepper, an engineer who assessed the quality of the soil and the need for fill.
