Gov. Rick Scott Tuesday vetoed a bill that would have allowed a north county drainage district to spend $200,000 on a playground.
The bill would have given the South Indian River Water Control District authority to assess the $200,000 cost of the playground to residents of the 1,500-home Palm Beach Country Estates neighborhood west of Interstate 95 and north of Donald Ross Road.
