A proposal to build a corporate campus about the size of The Gardens mall and up to 12 stories tall took a first step toward approval Tuesday night when the city’s planning board recommended the council vote for the plan.
The Juno Beach-based power company wants to build a 1-million-square-foot corporate campus on 86 vacant acres on the north side of PGA Boulevard between Interstate 95 and Alternate A1A. Developing the property, which city officials say could include solar, wind and energy research, is planned over a 20- to 30-year period.
