Former Palm Beach Post reporter Susan Spencer-Wendel, whose fight against the ravages of Lou Gehrig’s disease led her to write the best-selling memoir “Until I Say Goodbye,” was honored Tuesday by the city of West Palm Beach, where she lives with her husband and three children.
Mayor Jeri Muoio read a proclamation paying tribute to Spencer-Wendel for “your lifetime achievements, for displaying immense strength and an indomitable spirit through your transformational journey. Thank you for reminding us that every day counts.”
