The developer of the controversial condominium tower on the downtown waterfront’s Chapel-by-the-Lake site said Wednesday “commissioners did us a service” with their lukewarm tentative approval last month.
Al Adelson told The Palm Beach Post editorial board that when commissioners said Sept. 16 they wouldn’t give a final OK to a single 25-story tower without changes in scope, “we heard that very clear.” He said that sparked the talks that led him and his team to propose two towers this week.
