Most of the 15 candidates vying for four commission seats spoke today at a forum at the monthly Greater Boynton Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Glaringly absent: mayoral candidate Steven Holzman.
He emailed Chamber chairman Jonathan Porges Wednesday morning to point out that he and fellow candidate Jerry Taylor are sitting commissioners. Holzman said Florida laws require any gathering of two or more elected officials be open to everyone. For Wednesday’s event, he said, people who wanted to go would have to pay: $25 at the door, $35 for non-chamber members.
