About a month after the Palm Beach County School District hired a new chief spokesman to revamp and guide the district’s communications goals, the old position of outgoing Chief Public Information Officer could also be revamped.
Though it is unclear how soon the job will actually be refilled, the school board will vote on a proposed new job description for the position long-held by the retiring Nat Harrington. The new position, called Director of Media Relations and Communications, would go into effect after Harrington steps down on June 6, according to district Compensation and Employee Information Director Mark Mitchell.
