In his first review since being named superintendent of the nation’s 11th-largest school district, Wayne Gent on Wednesday was given an overall rating of effective by the Palm Beach County School Board.
The board members met one-on-one during the past few weeks to do their interim evaluations with Gent, who was chosen as superintendent in February 2012 after serving for a few months in an interim capacity.
