After years of talk and failed efforts, the Palm Beach County School District is preparing a proposal to provide arts-themed high- and middle-school magnets in south county.
While district administrators say they want to do what others over the past decade have been unable to do — give south county students magnet offerings to match the widely acclaimed, districtwide programs in West Palm Beach — they don’t have the estimated $5 million-$18 million needed to pay for the programs.
