The U.S. Department of Justice, after a yearlong investigation, has finalized a settlement with the Palm Beach County School District over discipline and enrollment practices.
The 31-page agreement addresses two complaints alleging discrimination in how the district disciplines students who struggle to speak English, and how it handles registration and enrollment for undocumented immigrants, according to a Justice Department statement released Tuesday.
