An open house for the 2017-2018 school year takes place 10 a.m. through noon Saturday at the campus, 102 N. Swinton Ave., Delray Beach. The school, which serves middle and high school students, will be enrolling for its first kindergarten through grade five program.

George Snow Scholarship Fund applications are available. Need-based scholarships are available to students in Palm Beach County. Students applying for these scholarships can attend any accredited college, university, vocational/technical school and major in any subject. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1. Apply at https://app.wizehive.com/appform/login/gssf2017.

Entries are now being accepted for the seventh annual Alcohol Prevention Poster Contest, in which students have the opportunity to compete for two $1,000 scholarships, have their work featured on school buses and on display during the South Florida Fair. Contest rules and the contest entry form are available at www.pbcbusposter.org. The deadline for entering is Friday.

The GladesFest Teacher Job Fair takes place Dec. 9 at Glades Region Office, 2625 NW 16th St., Belle Glade. The fair will feature jobs in Belle Glade, Pahokee, South Bay, and Canal Point. Interviews will be held at the event, and job offers may be made the same day. The district offers an annual $3,750 supplement to teachers at schools in the Glades, as well as professional development, leadership and career advancement, and additional jobs to supplement income.

Sign-in will be 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., with a welcome and orientation planned for 9 to 9:45. Interviews will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Candidates are encouraged to bring documents required for employment to the event. For more information on registering for the event, call 561-434-8430.
