Two local Democratic members of Congress led a roundtable discussion Monday that brought together supporters of immigration reform — and despite agreement on major points, they found at moments the experience was like herding cats.
The gathering at Palm Beach State College, led by U.S. Reps. Ted Deutch of Boca Raton and Lois Frankel of West Palm Beach, comes just as groups of lawmakers in both the U.S. House and Senate try to finish their versions of immigration legislation after months of talks between Republicans and Democrats.
