Palm Beach County commissioners on Thursday approved a controversial plan to build a neighborhood of shops and homes on an overgrown golf course next to Century Village but opponents said their battle to block the project is far from over.
After the decision, a group of Century Village residents vowed to sue the county and developer Andrew Waldman, alleging the development would violate a decades-old deed restriction on the 70-acre golf course that they say requires the property to remain vacant forever.
