Gov. Rick Scott heard some business leaders call for phasing out Florida’s 6 percent sales tax on commercial rents Tuesday during the first stop on a statewide campaign to promote his call for a $500 million election-year reduction in taxes and fees.
Scott, who hasn’t specified which levies he’d like to cut, is embarking on a four-day, five-city “listening tour” to hear ideas from the public on which taxes and fees to cut in 2014.
