Teachers will get a $250 debit card from the state to buy school supplies, Gov. Rick Scott announced Thursday at a news conference here.
“Teachers will be able to purchase most if not all of the supplies they need without having to reach into their own pockets,” Scott said at a Delray Beach Office Depot, with children on a carpet in front of him drawing in coloring books.
