The prosecutor accused of lying under oath in a case that led to dropped charges against a Palm Beach jeweler accused of robbery and kidnapping is pursuing a discrimination suit against Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg’s office, saying she was fired while she was undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
Former Assistant State Attorney Angela Miller, along with her labor attorney Cathleen Scott, said they filed a notice of their intent to pursue a discrimination suit against the state attorney’s office with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in late February, claiming the newly elected Aronberg ended her 18-year career as a prosecutor while she was in the middle of chemotherapy treatments.
