The long-running court saga that earned Palm Beach County the moniker “Corruption County” appears to be finally over.
Kevin McCarty this week became the last of those swept up in a roughly four-year federal crackdown on public corruption to throw in the legal towel. Like others, he hoped the door opened to clearing his name when the U.S. Supreme Court in 2010 changed the definition of what constitutes honest services fraud.
