Authorities have a West Palm Beach man in custody who they say took back his demand note from a bank teller and now faces federal charges of attempted bank robbery.
According to a criminal complaint filed March 1, authorities say Daniel Saintil, 21, entered a BB&T bank in Royal Palm Beach on Feb. 1 and asked a teller if he could cash a check for $8,700. The teller said prior notice was needed to cash a check of that sum. Saintil then asked to cash a check for $5,000 to which the teller gave the same response.
