A 30-year-old man who police said had pictures and videos of child porn on his computer is now behind bars on charges he sexually abused a 3-year-old girl.
Boynton Beach Police arrested Ryan Paul Pleasanton Friday, two days after the child’s mother told them her daughter demonstrated what she said Pleasanton did to her.
According to the police report, the woman told police that she has found porn involving children 3 to 10 years old on the home computer several times during the past few years and that Pleasanton told her he would stop and seek counseling for his problem.
The woman gave officers permission to check the computer, and they found it had been used to view child porn as recently as within the past couple of months, the report said. There were more than 50 images and videos that had been downloaded, according to the report.
He told police there were no previous allegations against him, but then told police about a 9-year-old who was about 1 back in 2005. Pleasanton said his friend was visiting and molested the child while he had gone to the restroom. However, when police later met with the friend, the man told them Pleasanton offered him something, which was not clear in the police report, to sexually abuse the infant.
Pleasanton faces charges of sexual battery on a person less than 12 years old and six counts of possession or view of a sexual performance by a child. He is in the Palm Beach County Jail on $30,000 bail.
