Among the pieces of police equipment and bill of sale forms found in an accused gun thief’s car Saturday was evidence that he tried creating fake concealed-weapons permits, according to information obtained from town police Thursday.
Christopher Vachaviolos, who was arrested Saturday, allegedly is responsible for seven car burglaries — five of them being law-enforcement cars — from December through May. Most of them took place in the town’s Abacoa section, where Vachaviolos allegedly told police his stepbrother lives.
