A 54-year-old woman stood before a Palm Beach County circuit court judge Tuesday, shaking and pleading with the judge to not grant the State Attorney’s Office’s and the city police’s request that she be held 30 days in jail on charges of offering to commit prostitution.
A West Palm Beach Police officer told Judge James L. Martz that Debra Jean Vanegas is “constantly a nuisance” on a particular strip of Broadway. She was arrested Monday afternoon during an undercover prostitution sting, the probable cause affidavit said.
